I. Product Overview

The 5MWh Energy Storage System Container is a standardized, modular large-scale Energy Storage System with a single cabin rated capacity of 5 megawatt-hours (MWh). It usually uses lithium iron phosphate batteries (LFP). It integrates battery systems, temperature control management, fire extinguishing and intelligent monitoring units. It can be flexibly deployed on the power generation side, grid side or user side to provide stable support for new energy consumption, peak-valley arbitrage, microgrid operation and other scenarios.

II. Product advantages

1. High energy density

By optimizing the battery grouping and cabin layout, the battery can be integrated in a 20-foot container to achieve increased energy density, saving land and reducing infrastructure costs compared to traditional solutions. 


2. Intelligent temperature control

The liquid cooling/air cooling hybrid thermal management system is used to control the temperature fluctuation of the battery pack within ±2℃, extending the cycle life. 


3. High safety protection

The high-safety lithium iron phosphate battery and multi-level fire protection design (aerosol + perfluorohexanone + cabin flame retardant material) are used to ensure that the risk is controllable. 


4. Typical application scenarios

• New energy matching

Smooth out the fluctuation of photovoltaic/wind power output and improve the penetration rate of renewable energy. For example: when matching a 100MW photovoltaic power station, a 4-hour energy storage configuration can reduce the abandonment rate by more than 15%.

• Industrial and commercial energy storage

Through the two-charge and two-discharge strategy (such as valley charging + peak discharge), it helps factories reduce demand electricity charges, and the IRR (internal rate of return) can reach 8%-12%.

• Power auxiliary services

Participate in frequency regulation (or spare capacity trading, the annual income potential of a single cabin exceeds 2 million yuan (floating according to regional policies).
