SolarEast Breaks Ground on 50MW/100MWh Energy Storage Project

The Luoyang Ancient City Energy Storage Project has a total capacity of 50MW/100MWh and utilizes advanced lithium iron phosphate battery technology, which is known for its:

 

High safety

Long lifespan

High efficiency

 

Upon completion, the Energy Storage Project will be able to absorb approximately 30 million kWh of clean energy annually, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 25,000 tons. This will not only effectively enhance the regional power grid's peak-shaving and renewable energy absorption capabilities but also provide important support for energy structure optimization and industrial upgrading in Luoyang and even Henan Province.

 

The completion of this project will significantly enhance the peak-shaving and frequency-regulation capabilities of the Luoyang power grid. During periods of high demand, the stored energy will be released to relieve pressure on the power supply. Conversely, during periods of low demand, excess energy will be stored, reducing energy waste. This will provide high-quality, efficient ancillary services for peak-shaving and frequency-regulation, ensuring the stability and reliability of the power supply. Furthermore, this initiative holds great significance for promoting the development of the new energy industry in Luoyang, optimizing the energy mix, and achieving the "dual carbon" goals.
